A little too much excitement on this run!
Running along the sandy beach in Egypt early in the morning - one stray dog came and barked at me at about 2km, then ran past the military building - could see soldiers taking guard there - they didn't try and stop me, so no worries.
Got to about 4.5km, running towards a half built hotel complex - then a pack of dogs came running out after me barking like crazy. I turned round quick, but the trouble is dogs can run faster than me. 3 of them stopped, but one didn't he came right up to me. I stopped running and started praying it didn;t have diseases. Thankfully he just wanted a stroke like a nice friendly dog, so I stroked him, then started running again slowly while telling him he was a good dog.
Trouble was that the 1st packs' barking woke up another pack, soon there were 5 other dogs running towards me from further away, I kept running and hoping. Fortunately these ones didn;t get too close as they looked nasty. My heart monitor quickly informed me I was out of the zone :)
I headed back to the hotel, and because I hadn;t gone as far as I wanted, I decided to go in the other direction. I went abotu a half km more, and suddenly a big pack of about 10 dogs woke up from under a sun umbrella - quick reverse back towards the hotel, fortunately these ones were lazy and didn;t follow me - such a big pack would be unpredictable and risky.
Oh well, running is interesting, but I don;t want it to be so interesting :)

It was a really exciting and dreadful running ! You had better run in the gym in Egypt !
